Oooh, it's almost December!

Ooh, It's almost December! magnify

I just wanted to make sure everyone remembered last winter. I don't want to hear any of you griping about a little snow... it could be much worse!

You have just got to hear Maddie talk! Her cutest word has to be bubbles. She says bubbee, and the way she says it is sooo cute! Aw nuts and Oh my would be right up there too, though. Oh, and if you ask her "are you ready?" She will reply "I ready!" Too cute! I know I am a little biased though.

I have started getting out Christmas stuff, and she is nuts about all of the snowmen. She runs around saying "no-meee no-meee!" I haven't even gotten the tree ornaments out yet... mostly snowmen. I don't know if we will be able to keep them on the tree!

Ah... I suppose I should start thinking about dinner. I'm terrible at remembering to take meat out of the freezer to defrost it, so once again there will be no meat on the menu.

Eesh... Madison was watching her Boohbah snowman dvd she got from the library the other day, and apparently she is still terrified by them doing the "Boooooohbaaah!" thing they do at the beginning and the end. Weird... I thought she would be over that by now. Poor thing was wailing her little head off even after I ran over to give her a hug. :( She is happy now, though.

Okay, I'm off to make dinner!

Post-Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving dinner mostly turned out good. The turkey was yummy! Madison didn't eat much besides the mac n cheese, but what did I really expect? She liked the pie and Rice Krispie Treats, though. We have stayed in all day today. It is cold, and I don't want to mess with all the people out today! So I'm just hanging around here, trying still to get this place as organized as possible, while Madison "helps." Uh-huh. Really. Image

Maddie & I went to see Harry Potter on Tuesday in Indy at the Matinee Movie Magic show for parents. She wasn't too scared... just by the dragons. She fell asleep by the end, so she didn't see any of the creepy goings on there. I think they did the best adaptation with this one out of the 4. Especially considering they had to cut sooo much out to fit it into one 2.5 hour movie. They were able to do so without compromising the story in any way.

Off to do more organizing! Will try to check back soon!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, I have a turkey roast (not a full turkey, I admit) in the oven, potatoes are peeled, and a pie in the refrigerator. A creamy pumpkin pie, not a traditional one. As many of you may know, I am not a huge fan of traditional pumpkin pies, although I love pumpkin. So when I saw this recipe, I had to make it. It is soooo yummy! I sampled some of the filling already. It is made with Cool Whip, pumpkin (duh), and vanilla pudding. Yum. In a graham cracker crust. Yum Yum.

Maddie is sleeping and I really hope that she will eat some of my (hopefully) yummy food. If all else fails, I am making mac & cheese too, so I know she will eat that. When she wakes up we are going to make Rice Krispie treats together. We are also having green beans, corn muffins, smushed apples & sweet potatoes, and dinner rolls. It will be a nice quiet holiday with just the 3 of us. Kinda weird not being around everyone this year, but we will see you guys on Christmas! :)

Ahh, well, I have some more stuff to do while Madison is asleep, which won't be much longer probably. She has already been out for an hour and a half.

Check back later!

Ow!

Ow!!!!! magnify

Madison took quite a tumble this morning. We were on our daily walk around the apartment complex and she saw a rock she just had to have. It was in the parking lot and she was on the sidewalk. She really thought she could reach it from the sidewalk (and to be honest with you, I did too) and ended up headfirst in the parking lot. It looks pretty bad right now, and I know as the redness gives way to a bruise it will only look worse before it looks better. Poor poor thing! She is okay, though, I did all the normal checks for head trauma and she is fine. She has taken a nap since, and had no trouble waking up after an hour and a half. It just looks ugly. I can't get her to let me put an ice pack on it. She would rather eat the ice. LOL. I put a picture displaying the booboo, but it really didn't pick it up all that well. You can kind of see the red spot on her head though... kinda looks like Gorbachev. Image

I shall check back later with any more fun news.

*sigh*

Sooo... We took a trip to the park yesterday. Big news I know... but it was pretty great because Daddy got to come with us! He has never been to the park with us here in Anderson. So Madison had a blast letting Daddy run down the hill through the leaves and push her on the swing. Today wasn't too bad as far as weather goes, but it was super dooper windy! Maddie and I wandered around the apartment complex with her in her little pink car and if I let go of the handle, she kept moving because of the wind! It was pretty nuts.

Has anyone seent the new show on Playhouse Disney called Little Einsteins? It's made by the Baby Einstein people, and I swear they must do loads of research, because they never fail! Madison is transfixed by the Little Einsteins! They pat their laps and put their hands up in the air to make their rocket fly and she pats right along with them. She gets way excited if she even sees a commercial for the show. It's pretty crazy. I like the show too, but Koala Brothers are still my favorite! Along with the Wiggles of course, lol. I'm such a preschool television junkie. How sad is that?

Whew... I suppose I have "important" things that need to be done. Laundry anyone?

OH please please please...

... don't let Madison and me get sick! Curtis came home from work last night looking like absolute death. I DO NOT want to get sick!! :) Mayzie and I just walked to the mailbox and it is cold. We didn't wear jackets. Oops... good thing you can't get sick just from being cold. :) I won't get into that argument though... it's a myth people! Image Wow, I really don't have much to ramble about today. I am just way too boring of a person.

Madison finally calls someone other than dada. She says Bruce. He must feel so special! Especially since she still calls me dada! She can say mommy, but if I ask her to call me mommy, she just laughs, points at me, and says "Dada!"

Wow, what pathetically boring ramblings I have shared today. :)

Okay... so....

I'm sitting happily at home last night watching My Name Is Earl and there is a tornado warning announced for Blackford County. Yipes! Hartford City isn't priority number one for the Indy stations, and with the Dish I don't have WTHR weather network like I did with cable (my one complaint), so I had no clue where said tornado was! Well, I found out earlier today that it was actually in Shamrock Lakes. Whew. I hope everyone out there is okay, but I can now breathe a sigh of relief that my family is all okay. :) I know I complain today in my blast message about Halloween and it's inevitable candy stash, most of which Madison cannot eat, but I did find a cool glow in the dark skull ring that I am now sporting on my pinky! Groovy! Image

We went to Muncie baby story time today, and I forgot that Anderson's story time is way better. No offense to the Kennedy ladies, but the Anderson one is much better organized, and it helps that they have a gigantic story room that closes off from the rest of the children's department. Those Kennedy gals can't help taht. Besides I think Maddie missed her babydoll she plays with every week in Anderson. I'm getting "lovingly attacked" by Jubilee and it's making me crazy, so I'm going to go vaccuum or some other scary activity that will make her leave me alone.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

zzzzzzzzzzzzzz magnify

I am soooo tired! Madison is refusing to go to sleep because a friend of Curtis's is here watching the Colts game. Lil miss Maddie is saying so many new words all the time. Her new favorites are slide, nap, bath, duck, belt... etc. I'm too tired to remember anymore, lol.

Is Jubilee not just the cutest? She is such a silly kitty. Sorry to put pictures of her up instead of Madison. I will post one of Maddie to make up for it. Too bad I'm too lazy to go through the steps to insert it into the entry. I will just make a new entry for it. :)

Good night... hopefully.

Halloween

Madison had lots of fun trick or treating. We went to the Muncie Mall and then went up to HC. She slept through the visit to Grandma at Alco, but was awake and ready to go by the time we got to see Grandpa. She had lots of fun, and absolutely loves the Weebles and the sparkly board books that Grandma and Grandpa had for her. Thanks guys! She played with the Weeble ball all the way home. When we got back home we went to visit one of Curtis's friends who lives in our apartment complex and she got to see their cat, bird, and hamster. She loved that hamster! She kept saying "Woah!" as he ran around on his wheel. I will get some pictures of our little cutie Pebbles up asap.

Check back later!
