I am a stay at home mom of a sweet little girl and her little baby brother! Madison was born in July 2004, and my life hasn't been the same ever since. I love staying home with her and Jonah and watching them change a little more with each day!

#%&#!%* recalls!

This whole recall thing is getting ridiculous! Seriously... is it so hard for these toy makers in China to leave lead out of the toys? I don't even want to buy any toys for Christmas, for fear there will be lead in them! We already had to take away a couple of the Dora toys that Madison had gotten for her birthday and now it is her Curious George doll. I think the worst part of this one is that she got this doll for her 2nd birthday! 15+ months ago! How on earth does it take that long to realize that there is lead in it?? I'm so irked. I tried not to let her see me taking it out of her toybox last night, but of course she did. She nearly cried when I told her she wouldn't be getting it back. This is what they are doing to these kids. Not only are they putting them at risk of lead poisoning, but they are breaking their hearts by letting them get attached to something only to have it taken away! Argh!

On a lighter note... check this out!

Anyone who knows Curtis knows that is what he is thinking when he walks into Wendys. Hehe!

I'm with you! It's to the point that I'm scared to buy anything for Cole because of all these recalls! Would it be so bad to just make our toys in this country? We'd be provided jobs AND lead-free toys! It's so irritating! I was really sickened when I heard about the Curious George because that doll has been around FOREVER!!!

Love the picture of Curtis, by the way! :)

I know I've already seen it and commented on it, but I just had to come back and look at that picture of Curtis because it makes me giggle.
