Cereal!

I wanted to share this before I went to bed... he loved his cereal tonight and was such a little piggy!

Oh, and how could I forget my new favorite Maddie-ism... butt does not equal bottom. SmileyCentral.com Butt is a bellybutton. I commented that of course a bird has a butt. How else would they poop? She cracked up laughing at me and told me that birds don't poop out there butt, silly! They poop from their bottom! If you ask her where her butt is she will show you her bellybutton. Not that I am giving you permission to ask where her butt is.... hehe. If you wonder why I was talking about a bird's butt... There is this fabulous song by an artist who calls himself Uncle Jim that is played all the time on XMKids. It's a wonderful song called "I've Got a Butt." In this song he discusses whether birds have butts... which of course they do. We've all got a butt. Hehe... I will be singing that song in my sleep now. I pity those of you who do not know it.... if you follow the right links, though, you can hear it on his website. I leave you with this...

Even the birds up in the sky
Now how do they fly?
They’ve got a butt
An itty bitty butt
A teeny weeny butt
A super tiny butt!

#%&#!%* recalls!

This whole recall thing is getting ridiculous! Seriously... is it so hard for these toy makers in China to leave lead out of the toys? I don't even want to buy any toys for Christmas, for fear there will be lead in them! We already had to take away a couple of the Dora toys that Madison had gotten for her birthday and now it is her Curious George doll. I think the worst part of this one is that she got this doll for her 2nd birthday! 15+ months ago! How on earth does it take that long to realize that there is lead in it?? I'm so irked. I tried not to let her see me taking it out of her toybox last night, but of course she did. She nearly cried when I told her she wouldn't be getting it back. This is what they are doing to these kids. Not only are they putting them at risk of lead poisoning, but they are breaking their hearts by letting them get attached to something only to have it taken away! Argh!

On a lighter note... check this out!

Anyone who knows Curtis knows that is what he is thinking when he walks into Wendys. Hehe!

more shots? NOOOOO!!!

Guess who had shots yesterday?? Poor little Jonah had his 4 month appointment. He is doing great, except that he had to get shots and was miserable all day. He is up to 15 lbs 12 oz and I think 26 inches. Very well proportioned, says the doctor. A little above average. He's my healthy little boy! Still waiting for him to roll back to tummy... doc gives him 2 weeks. We'll see...

school picture

Just a quick post to show off Madison's first school picture! They were taken by Thornburgh Studios & I think it came out great! Her parent / teacher conference was today and she got all E's (Excellent) except for in handwriting. She does a good job writing, but she skipped a few on the assessment page... I'm sure that didn't help any. Her coloring and cutting are awesome... her teacher said she was coloring at a 5 year old level! She stays in the lines as well as I do, hehe! Okay... enough shameless bragging... I'm going to bed.
