Last pregnancy appointment

I had my last pregnancy appointment yesterday! We scheduled an induction, but I am not going to post the exact day and time on here for the world to see. If you wanna know, send me an email... I'll be glad to tell you as long as I am sure you aren't some psycho stalker. Madison can't wait to go to labor. She kept asking yesterday if we were going to labor... she really wanted to go. Hehe... so anyway. At the appointment I was 4cm, so I'm still moving right along. Doc stripped my membranes and then proceeded to tell me that he wasn't on call for a few more days. He is the doc I want. Nice. It better not send me into labor! Hehe! It hasn't yet, though they say it can take up to 72 hours to work. Otherwise we could have scheduled it as early as yesterday afternoon if there were beds available. But I wanted him, so I decided to wait. Now, as long as Jonah decides to wait too, we are good.

After the appointment we came home and I did what I had been threatening to do. I put on a bikini (my one piece won't fit over my belly, and I did not invest in a maternity bathing suit with either pregnancy) and plopped myself right down in the middle of Madison's sprinkler. Hehe... I'm sure it was quite a sight to see. Her sprinkler is a big ring that squirts water into the middle, so it was basically like sitting in the middle of a really cold shower. I tried to get Madison to sit on my lap, but she kept squirming away... she apparently didn't enjoy the cold shower. She's more of a run as fast as you can through the freezing cold water kind of person. I thought it was fun, though.

Okay, well, I'm gonna go do some more stuff around here. Expect a birth announcement sometime in the next week or so if you don't hear from me before then!

Cute video

I don't know what I just did... maybe nothing. LOL. If there isn't anything above this that has a video in it... here is the link to go watch it.

Madison doing the Algorithm March

It is old... from, I don't know, December maybe? But it is pretty cute! Curtis used his phone to make the video, so it isn't sooper dooper high quality, but it's good enough!

ETA: hehe, I think it worked!

We have a.......

crib! Hehe! After some intense searching, we were unable to find the original screws for parts of the crib. Can't remember if I mentioned that or not.... of course they were metric. Which means no one in Muncie has the right size. Finally, we found the right ones at Home Depot. Woohoo! Sooo.... now we have a crib. Yippee! Yay for Home Depot!

It's not okay....

...to comment on a woman's size just because she is pregnant! No matter what you are saying! LOL! And the comments are all over the place... that doesn't make it better. I've gotten the whispered aside to a co-worker, "Oh my God! Look at her... she is going to go into labor anytime!" As if I couldn't hear her. Ugh. On the other end of it, I've heard, "Really? You're really that close? You don't look big enough to be that far along." Not any better! "Boy, you're just all belly!" Yes, yes, I do realize this. See... that is where the baby is growing. Hence the weight gain in my belly. Duh. Just because a woman in pregnant doesn't mean you have a God given right to comment on her weight or size. How would a non-pregnant woman like it if I told her she was all belly? She wouldn't!

Yes, I know when I am out with Curtis I usually end up waddling trying to keep up with him. When he isn't with me I just walk really really slow so that I don't waddle.

Oh, but here is my embarrassing moment of the week. I was at Marsh with Madison who insisted on riding in one of those carts that has a little truck attached to the front. So when I get up to the line to check out I can't reach all the little things in the bottom of the cart. I can't reach from the back of the cart because there is still a seat on there that is keeping me from reaching anything. I can't go around the cart to the back because of that stupid truck thing Madison is sitting in and I can't reach from the side because the checkout lanes are too freaking narrow to fit my big belly alongside a shopping cart! So I am huffing and puffing like a moron trying to reach everything while the checkout guy is standing there with this smirk on his face. I could tell he wanted to bust out laughing at how ridiculous I must have looked. Needless to say, Madison is NOT riding in those truck carts until after baby comes unless Curtis is with us to help out! Yes, I laughed at myself, but that made it no less mortifying.

yet another appointment

So I had another ob/mw appointment this morning. Still moving right along. I'm up to 3 cm dilated, 80% effaced, and -1 station. Yeah, probably only women who have had babies have any idea what any of that means. Basically my cervix has opened and softened more, and he dropped quite a bit further. Rah rah. I'm still not in real labor, so it isn't good enough! Hehe!

We got Madison officially enrolled in preschool for the fall and she is really excited. We dropped off her paperwork Tuesday and paid the first bit of her enrollment fee. Whoopee!! I'm really happy with the choice we made, it seems like the right fit for her. I can't wait to watch her as she learns and makes new friends.

Okay... well, I have some things I need to get done around here. Curtis got the old old blog to me, so I will be transferring that over here in the next few days. It was so fun to read my posts from when Madison was just a wee little thing. Hopefully you guys will enjoy being able to re-read some of it too!

We made it!

As of yesterday, I am officially full term (37 weeks). Yay! So... now he can come whenever he wants.

Oh, and Madison's baby "popped out" the other day. She was playing and all of a sudden she jumped up and told me that her baby "popped out of her belly!" She is very excited about this... although it is the same baby she has been playing with for a year and a half. LOL. But I'm very proud of her for having her baby! Now if only I would have mine...

Too fabulous!!

This is so awesome and I so want it!

It's a Colts crib mobile! (Click the picture to go to Target's web page where you can buy it for me for the low low price of $39.99! )

Also... I got my Hotsling finally! This is the one I ended up getting:

Boyish enough that people won't think he is a girl (I really wanted something pink, but Curtis said no!), but still cool enough that I like it! Now if only he would come out so I can try it on and use it. I guess for now I have to be happy just watching the instructional DVD... which I am sure I will need! I'm just not clever enough to look at a loop of fabric and know how to put a baby in there. I can't buy anything else until next payday... and maybe not even then. But that's okay... I got what I really really really wanted the mostest in the whole world. Well, besides the baby, of course!

Appointment, Maddie-ism, and pic!

So I'm pulling out of my boohoo depression I have been in for the last week or so. Although I still have my moments. I'm just so uncomfortable, and not looking forward to 3+ more weeks of this! I want to have this baby!

So... I had an appointment today. I'm dilated 2cm... but that doesn't necessarily mean anything will happen anytime soon. A girl can hope though, right?

Maddie-ism of the week: It was raining the other day and Madison's sprinkler was outside in the backyard. Madison looks at me when she realizes this, eyes huge... "Oh no Mommy! My sprinkler is getting wet!" Um... yeah. Okay.

Madison's first face painting!
