Well...
So much for the idea that cloth training pants are better than 'sposies! I've been really pushing the potty training harder the last couple of weeks, despite her doctor telling me to wait until she was 3. I just decided that I didn't want to be going through it with a newborn if at all possible, so I wanted to at least get a good start going before the baby was born. I don't know that I really expect her to be 100% dry by then, but heck, I'll take 75% dry! So she has been wearing the cloth training pants and she just pees (or poops, ew) in them and lets me know as she dances around that she is all wet. She hadn't gone on the potty a single time in the past 2 weeks even with my sitting her on there every 2 hours as suggested. So I wanted to get her some Pull-Ups to wear when we go out (she had been switching to diapers for outings) and she chose Disney Princess over Dora, as she always does these days. So I thought the Cool Alert ones made more sense than the Learning Designs. Seriously... wouldn't she have to be staring at her Pull-Up to even notice with the Learning Designs? I don't know. Anyway... when it came time to put one on, she was absolutely horrified when I told her that if she peed in her Pull-Up it would get cold. She wouldn't even put one on after I told her that. It wasn't until Daddy got home and he was able to convince her to give them a try. Turns out she actually does know when she has to go! She is really really scared of it getting cold, so she will tell me that she needs to take it off before she goes. And she has even pottied in the big potty now! I'm so proud of her! I think we may have finally found some good motivation... now if only it will stay long enough for her to get potty trained all the way! K |

I saw a commercial for the Cool Alerts. I wondered how well those worked. They seemed pretty neat to me! It's almost better that she doesn't want it to get cold, because then she tells you early! I wonder how cold they get...it makes you wonder how stuff like that works.
Hannah ran around naked with a potty in the living room for a week. That and every time she pottied she got an M & M. She's been potty trained since 30 months.
It gets easier :)
I also learned pull ups were such a waste of money.
