dude.

That is Madison's favorite word right now. It's cute, but tiring sometimes. She says "Hi dude!" to everyone she sees. If you do something she doesn't like she says "DUUUUDE!" If she sees something she wants she says "dude!" Curtis told her to find a new word. I told him that if he just ignores it she will eventually move onto something else. If he tells her repeatedly not to say it, then she will find it even funnier and keep saying it. Oh, and lest I not forget, "I see crack!" LOL! She keeps saying that nearly a week after hearing me say it about Audrey's buttcrack at her b-day party. Sheesh... this girl is nuts!

So much excitement!

Conversation tonight with Madison, who is wearing footie pajama pants:

Madison (somewhat frantically): Where are my slippers?

Me: What is on your feet?

Madison (looks down at feet): My toes!

Hehehe!

Okay, so the Wiggles are totally awesome, and not at all creepy. I didn't think they were creepy, but I know some people do. They are just some guys up there who are having fun, making kids happy, and making loads and loads of money doing it. For real, they were a lot of fun, and you could tell they were having an absolute blast doing something they love. I totally respect that.

Madison had the most fun ever! When we first got there and she saw the stage, she knew immediately that it was the Wiggles! She said "Look Mommy and Daddy! It's the Wiggles!" If that was cool... you cannot even imagine how fabulous it was to watch her when they drove out onto the stage in the big red car. She was absolutely floored and kept saying over and over "It's the Wiggles! It's the Wiggles!" She was bouncing and dancing and singing. It was so amazing! She had more fun than anyone else around us, easily. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with her being so young and not being in the least self-conscious. When Captain Feathersword came out I think she peed her pants (she was wearing a diaper, so that is okay!) It's the Wiggles became "It's Cap'n!" She love love loves the Captain... she even said so. She turned to her Daddy and said "I love Cap'n, Daddy." How cute is that? I could never have dreamed that she would love it so much. I have pictures, but they aren't on the computer yet. I will make an album once I get them on here.

If that wasn't enough excitement for one day... when we got back to the hotel she got to go swimming in the pool! We got her into her bathing suit, she stepped into her floatie and ran with it around her waist to the pool. She loved that! She didn't want to get out of the pool, but she was totally wiped out. She passed out and slept really well all night in the big hotel bed with Mommy and Daddy. I think it was easily her best day ever! I didn't get any pictures of her with her floatie and bathing suit... I wish I had. I'm sure I will have plenty of opportunities this summer for that, though! :)

Check back later!

In honor of Mother's Day...

Here is a layout of Madison and me! Okay, so I can't do one of my mom and me because I don't have a photo of us together on the computer. I think the only ones I have anyway are from my wedding and since I am having scanner issues... ya know. :) Happy Mother's Day to my Mommy, Grandmas, and all the mommies out there!

We are getting excited about the Wiggles this weekend! :)

Ooh, for anyone thinking ahead a few months... a nice cheap b-day present for Madison is those wooden puzzles that have the picture under the piece. She does them at the library and is getting really good at them! She loves them! I finally got her one for $4.99 at Target today so she wouldn't have to go to the library every time she wants to do a puzzle, lol. The animal ones she got from G-ma and G-pa Perry at Christmas are super cute and she likes to play with them, but she can't figure out how to put them together yet. So she just hands me the pieces and has me put them in. She doesn't get her SS abc puzzle either. The pieces are upper case letters and the pictures underneath are lower case, so that just confuses her, lol. Someday, I guess... :)

Catch ya later! ~K
