random update

Madison proved herself to be mine & Curtis's daughter today, lol. She had her first taste of grilled cheese and loved it! I suppose it is all downhill from here.

We are so sad that the Pacer's took a beating on their own court tonight. :( I figure it is because they want to win the series at home. ;) Madison was so mad, she even tried to tear up my pink Pacers hat. We have to work on her attitude... I have NO idea where she got it.

I better get to bed. Madison's pictures are in less than 12 hours!

No more sickies!

Madison is back to her old self again. The fever is gone in time for her to get her 9 (and a half, lol) month pictures taken on Sunday. She is so mobile and clingy to me now; I don't know how it will go. Hopefully she will sit still long enough for them to snap a picture or two.

Not again!

Madison is a sickie again! I can't believe we made it 8.5 months with barely a cough and she has had 2 fevers in 3 weeks! Poor baby! It goes down with acetamen... generic Tylenol (lol, I can't spell it!) and she is playing, but it keeps coming back and she becomes a little cuddlebug. She was so hot last night I took her jammies off of her.

We practiced standing today during one of her "happy" times. It was pretty funny. She would stand for a couple of seconds and throw herself forward so I would catch her. She was giggling so hard. I know she could stand longer, but she was having too much fun making me catch her. She loves to walk around holding my hands. She doesn't quite get her Gobble N Go Hippo, though. She will walk all over with it if you push it for her. But she doesn't understand that she can push it herself. She gets mad when it doesn't "go."

She has discovered her tongue. I keep thinking she has something in her mouth, but she is just curling up her tongue and chewing on it. And she can blow raspberries on my tummy. I hate that! It tickles so bad, and she keeps doing it because it makes me laugh!

random stuff...

We went to Indy yesterday and I was finally able to get my Hip Hammock. Yay! It's my birthday present, lol. I couldn't find one in Muncie, so it is a month late. I wore Madison around the house for awhile today and it was great. It's so much better than trying to carry her in one arm. Once I get a little more used to it, I will be able to take Maddie and Veronica on walks together! Poor Ronnie is walk deprived since Madison came around. Here is a new picture of Veronica if you haven't met her.

We need to make an appointment for Madison's pictures. Doh! She has been 9 months for a week now! I meant to call today, but I forgot... I will hang my head in shame. ;)

It's getting pretty late. *yawn* I suppose I should head off to bed. Check back later!

Gingerbread babies + 9month pic

She made it to Gingerbread Babies this week! Yay! She thought she was the star of the show. When she was supposed to be sitting in my lap singing songs, she crawled to the middle of the circle and just sat there like it was a party all for her! It was really cute, and got quite a giggle. She made a couple of new friends today. Shout out to Ashlyn and Erin, even though they will probably never see this, lol!

Here is one of my favorite pictures from Monday.

9 months!

Madison is a whole 9 months today! I can't believe that in 3 months we will be celebrating her birthday! She had her well baby checkup this morning and the doc says she looks great. She weighs 18 lbs 3 oz, and is 26 1/2 inches long. Her head is finally caught up to the rest of her, and she is just a petite girl. She is in the 25th percentile for everything. Yay, Maddie! :)

We took her to the park for the first time on Saturday, and she had a blast!

There is one of the pictures of her swinging. She played on the swings, the little rocker things, and the slides. We let her into the grass for a little bit, but she hated that. She cried and climbed back into our laps whenever we tried to set her down. I don't know how to make her like the grass! We have only tried twice and she didn't like it either time. I am open to suggestion, lol!

Madison the monkey

Lol, that is what Kristi called her last night and I thought it was funny. She does like to climb anything she can. I think she would climb the walls if she could! I had to put most of her toys in a shorter plastic tub instead of the Care Bears hamper they were in before. She kept climbing on the Care Bears hamper and it would fall down on top of her because it wasn't sturdy enough to hold her weight. So now she can climb on her toybox and dig through the toys to find exactly what she wants. She is still too short to reach the bottom, but give her time. She is growing so fast, she will be taller than me before I know it! I swear her feet jumped 2 sizes overnight. She could wear newborn shoes at 6 months, and now she is almost in size 4's. I had to go buy a bunch of new socks because they were all too small all of a sudden. She's still my little squirt, though. When she was sick at the doctors she was only 17 lbs. We go for her well baby checkup Monday morning, so we will see what she is when she is nakie. And I am curious to see how tall she is now. She seems like she is so much taller than she was at her last one.

Note to Grandma... Madison eats Cheerios now, so next time you have some she can do more than eat the package, lol.

I have been mostly lazy this morning and really need to take a shower. Preferably before Madison wakes up!

Tooth #2 is here!

It finally popped through! I figured it had, as she didn't sleep real well last night.

Just a quick update!

We're doing all better around here, but now Madison's cousin Audrey is sick. I hope she is feeling better soon! Madison's 2nd tooth is looming just under the gum now. You can see it, and a tiny part of it is peeking through, so any day now it will be all the way in.

We got Madison her own couch with Tigger on it. She loves it, but keeps trying to use it to climb into her playpen. She has no fear whatsoever!

We have Gingerbread Babies at the library in the morning, so if Veronica will shut her trap I might be able to get Madison to sleep! :)

Feeling better

The fever is gone, and Madison is mostly her old self again. She has a nasty cough that is still hanging on, though. It wakes her up several times a night and during her naps. :( My cough is getting better though, so hers should be too in a day or two.

Grandma Perry had surgery this week on her knee, and we are glad she won't be working for awhile. ;) It's great to go visit anytime!

Poor baby

We have a full fledged sickie on our hands. Right now I am STARVING on the couch, but she won't let me put her to bed, so I guess I'll have lunch later. The worst part is that I am sick too, and she wakes up every time I cough. She has had a fever over 102 for two days. It got up to 102.8 last night which was the highest I have seen it. It was 102.4 this morning. Poor thing has never been sick before, and is miserable. :(
